Covid-19

We are Open and Safe

The Village Dental Practice will still be open during this second national lockdown. We’d like you to keep your appointment if you have one and want to reassure you that our practice is a safe place to be. We have excellent infection control procedures with a robust triaging policy to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. Our team are very familiar with the infection controls being used to manage the virus as they are much the same as those that have been applied by our practice for many years. We have all the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and will continue to follow national guidelines and standards. If you are worried about attending, please contact us to discuss your concerns. We continue to recommend that patients in the high-risk category for COVID- 19 delay non essential treatment until further guidance has been given by the relevant authorities. Stay safe and please contact us if you have any questions If you are in pain or in need of support and need help or advice please call the practice on 01925 765757 or email vdpemail@talktalk.net PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE UNLESS YOU HAVE AN APPOINTMENT click here to watch a video of important patient information

What to expect now we are open

You need to be aware that this is still not business as usual. The treatments you are offered may be different to those you have received before, depending on staff and equipment available. It will take some time before services return to what you previously experienced as normal. Please be patient. Hand sanitisers are available at the entrance, our PPE has been upgraded and the patient journey re-designed in line with social distancing. We will be conducting pre-screening tests of patients which will include taking your temperature on arrival. You must wear a mask at all times while inside the dental practice and should only remove it at the request of one of our team. Appointments will be booked to ensure the practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded, We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure you can attend the practice while maintaining social distancing. We will also be creating clinics for patients who are most vulnerable, to help minimize contact with others for this group whilst they are in the practice. To avoid overcrowding, when you arrive at the practice, we ask that you wait in your car or in a safe place outside until called in. We will notify you by phone when you should enter the practice. You will be required to fill in all relevant forms on your electronic device, before you enter the practice, from the comfort of your home. This means you will not have to touch a pen, paper or any electronic device other than your own when you attend your appointment. We will ask you to pay using a contactless card or online payment method. This crucial step greatly reduces the touch points at the practice. Between all appointments, as always, the dental team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery, reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful while you are in the dental chair. We thank you all for your patience during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you again soon. Dr Joanne Finn and all the team at the Village Dental Practice
